KISS Supports 'Hiring Our Heroes,' Hires Vet As Roadie

Each year, thousands of veterans come home from serving overseas and start looking for work. Luckily, an organization called Hiring Our Heroes works to help find them jobs.

Joining Fox 29 to talk about this program was Sergeant James Cunningham, formerly of the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. Cunningham knows what it takes to find work after serving in Iraq, and he discussed the ways in which Hiring Our Heroes pairs veterans with long-term employment opportunities. One especially interesting job, he explained, was obtained by veteran Paul Jordan, who was hired by KISS as a roadie for the rock band's tour (KISS also presented a check in the amount of $250,000 to Hiring Our Heroes).

The Mission:

‘You’re hired!’ There is no greater way for a business to say thank you to our courageous servicemen and women than providing them with a job.  The mission of Helping Heroes Work is to raise awareness for the responsibility we all share in helping our returning veterans begin this next critical phase in their lives.
