Gen. Petraeus: Many Veterans Have Had to Accept Dead-End Jobs

Many veterans are ending up in unfulfilling, dead-end jobs, according to Gen. David Petraeus.

The retired general wrote in today’s Wall Street Journal that many vets "have had to accept low-wage, dead-end jobs that may pay their bills but don’t fully tap their skills or allow them to engage in fulfilling careers.”

Petraeus promotes American Corporate Partners, a nonprofit which matches post-9/11 veterans with experienced business professionals for a one-year mentoring program.

ACP reports that they will have helped more than 5,000 veterans by the end of this year.
